FV INFRA LLP, a trusted tensile structure manufacturer & contractor, executed this landmark commercial entrance canopy in the premium Civil Lines area of Gadchiroli. Collaborating closely with Architect Hemant Walke, we shifted the project from a basic rain shelter to a fluid, high-performance tensile structure canopy. To maintain an unobstructed valet and driveway flow, our engineering team utilized advanced structural drawings and wind-load simulations to anchor the heavy steel frame without bulky pillars. The structure uses a high-performance translucent membrane that filters intense summer heat into a soft ambient glow by day and reflects outdoor lighting like a brilliant lantern by night.
CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT
The client required a striking architectural feature that solved core functional traffic and weather issues. Key requirements included: Pillarless Driveway Span: A large-scale canopy that covers the main drop-off zone without adding pillars that disrupt valet and traffic flow. Premium Brand Visibility: An elite entrance design suitable for a high-end hospitality property in a prime locality. Extreme Climate Resilience: A structure capable of handling Gadchiroli's intense summer heatwaves and heavy monsoon downpours. Advanced Day/Night Aesthetics: A fabric solution that blocks harsh glare during the day but interacts beautifully with architectural lighting at night. Turnkey Execution: Comprehensive management from initial site visits and stress simulations to final fabric tensioning.
WHAT WE DID
Collaborative 3D Engineering: Partnered with the project architect to refine the canopy's geometry on 3D designing software, ensuring flawless structural integration with the existing building facade. Cantilever Fabrication: Fabricated heavy-gauge, high-load steel components at our central manufacturing unit, engineered specifically to handle lateral stress and wind uplift forces at height. Translucent Membrane Technology: Supplied and patterned a premium translucent membrane that reflects UV heat while creating a premium, shadow-free ambient atmosphere beneath the canopy. Precision Hydraulic Tensioning: Used heavy-duty hydraulic jacks to pull the membrane completely taut and wrinkle-free, fulfilling exact engineering tolerances. End-to-End Contracting: Managed the entire logistics chain from transport to safe on-site assembly, delivering a rock-solid structural asset built to last for decades.
