When people in western Odisha talk about summer, Titlagarh always comes up first. Last May, during a site visit to a residence right off the main market road, the client’s main worry was simple: their south-facing open terrace was completely unusable for five months a year. Ground-floor rooms were turning into ovens, and sitting outside past 8:00 AM wasn't even an option.
They wanted a shade solution, but not a permanent dark concrete slab that would block light in winter or ruin the open-air balcony feel during breezy evenings. That’s where a retractable blackout fabric setup comes into its own.
