With a suitable automated setup, rain sensors can detect rainfall and trigger the roof to close. Depending on the system and smart-home setup, operation can also be controlled using a remote, smartphone or voice commands.

Aluminum when you want control
Our motorized aluminum pergolas use adjustable louvres that can tilt to control sunlight and ventilation. Instead of having one fixed roof overhead all the time, you decide how much sky, shade or sunlight you want.
During strong summer heat, the louvres can reduce direct sun while allowing hot air to escape. During rain, the system closes to create a weather-protected space, with integrated drainage designed to carry water through the structure.
And because the frame is powder-coated aluminum, there’s no routine worry about the rust problems associated with conventional iron structures.
Fabric when you want a softer look
Not every terrace needs a modern aluminum appearance.
For some homes, resorts, restaurants and cafés, a retractable fabric pergola feels much more natural. The architectural fabric travels along motorized tracks and folds away when you want an open terrace.
On a clear winter evening, you can retract it and look straight up at the sky. When heavy rain arrives, close it again and keep using the space.
The fabric option is especially useful when the client wants heavy rain protection without making the terrace feel permanently covered.
Designed for real monsoon conditions
