The Figment Global Story: How We Built an Employee Escape on a Nagpur Rooftop

There’s something about a Nagpur summer that makes you rethink every square inch of a building. When Mr. Niraj Kotecha from Figment Global Solutions reached out to us, the problem was pretty clear. They have this fantastic rooftop terrace at their office, but for most of the day, it was just too hot to use. Figment is a big name in the financial and digital solution space, and Niraj ji wanted his team to actually have a place where they could grab a coffee or lunch without feeling like they were sitting in an oven.

We actually got this lead through a recommendation from Architect Komal Kathed. It’s always a bit of a compliment when an architect puts their reputation on the line to suggest your name. Komal ji didn't just want a "rain cover"; he envisioned a rooftop canopy that could double as a sleek, evening party spot for the company. He knew our "legacy"—which is basically just a fancy way of saying we don’t cut corners.

Solving the "High-Altitude" Headache

The biggest challenge? Height. When you’re building a terrace restaurant style canopy on top of a multi-story building, you aren't just fighting the sun; you’re fighting the wind. At that height, wind speeds can be brutal.

Most people would just throw up some light pipes, but we went the other way. We sat down and worked out the wind speed calculations and load distribution to a T. We used heavy-section Apollo Steel (Tata make, YST 210 grade). It’s thick, it’s reliable, and it’s meant to stay put. We’ve done projects from Jabalpur to Titlagarh, and if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you never gamble with the structure.

Choosing the "Ferrari" of Fabrics

Niraj ji had a lot of questions about maintenance—nobody wants a roof that looks dirty after one monsoon. For this, we used Serge Ferrari 902 S2 fabric. In our world, this is the gold standard. It has this "precontraint" property, meaning it doesn't sag or lose shape over time. Plus, the PVDF coating acts like a non-stick pan—dirt and stains just don't want to stay on it.

We handled everything—from the initial 3D design to the final compressor-painted finish. We believe in being a "one-point solution." Why should a client have to chase three different vendors? Whether it's the smooth welding joints or the wrinkle-free patterning of the fabric, we stayed on our toes. Honestly, the best part of the job was that our phones were always open. If the architect had a query at 7 PM, we answered it. That’s how we delivered on time.

More Than Just Steel and Fabric

After the installation, Figment Global actually felicitated us in a vendor appreciation program. That felt good. But what felt even better was when Niraj ji started recommending us to his builder friends. That’s the real "thank you" in this business.

Now, that terrace isn't just a slab of concrete. It’s a rooftop canopy where employees actually want to hang out. If you’re in Nagpur, Raipur, Bhilai, or even out in Akola or Amravati, and you’ve got a terrace that’s going to waste, let’s talk.

At FV INFRA LLP, we’re known as a reliable tensile canopy manufacturer and tensile shed supplier across Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh because we care about the "minor" details that most people ignore.
