The Challenge: Cones at a Great Height
The project involved two interconnected units of a cone tensile structure right beside a rooftop swimming pool. The idea was to create a premium "deck" feel where residents could relax. Working under Mr. Jayant Kadhao (the Project Head) was a great experience—he’s someone who stays on top of every single detail on-site, which is exactly how we like to work.
One of the first things Anuj sir asked me was, "How do you handle the wind pressure at this height?" It’s a valid fear. If you don't calculate the wind load properly on a rooftop in an open area like Besa, you're asking for trouble. We didn't just give him a verbal "it will be fine." We had a qualified structural engineer run the numbers through software to ensure the Tata Mild Steel (Grade 210) sections were heavy enough to stay rock-solid.
Why "Cheap" Fabric is a Mistake
A lot of people ask us about the difference between a basic PVC roof and a proper dome tensile shed or cone structure. It all comes down to the coating. For Leverage Group, we used high-quality white fabric from Mtex with a PVDF coating.
The beauty of PVDF is that it’s basically self-cleaning. The dust in Nagpur is relentless, but with this coating, the rain washes it away. Plus, it blocks the UV rays and heat so well that you can actually sit comfortably by the pool at 2 PM. We finished the steel with epoxy white paint using a compressor to give it that "luxury car" finish.
4 Days, 10 Engineers, No Excuses
We knew the flat scheme was active, and they couldn't have a construction site running for weeks. We deployed five of our best engineers and finished the entire installation in just four days.
