Every job we take on at FV INFRA LLP has its own story, and the one we completed for Mr. Chandekar right here in Nagpur really showed how flexibility and good engineering can deliver more than the client even asked for. Mr. Chandekar, a local Marathi gentleman, initially just needed a bike parking canopy. But we quickly realized we could offer him a durable solution that served double duty—easily covering his car as well.
The goal was simple: provide reliable protection against the fierce Nagpur weather. Our approach, however, had to be clever.
Engineering for the Extremes
The client was naturally focused on resilience, asking the crucial question: How much wind speed can this shed handle? That’s a question you must answer with absolute confidence. We assured him that our structure is engineered to easily withstand wind speeds up to 140 km/hr—far exceeding local requirements. This kind of structural integrity is what allows us to confidently build everything from a simple white shed for car parking to large-scale covers like an auditorium shade.
Our designer, Mr. Ahmad, was key. He guided both Mr. Chandekar and our team, ensuring the final canopy was not just strong but also visually pleasing, fitting right in with the residence's aesthetic.
We detailed every component, because transparency is paramount.
Steel: We relied on the trusted ISI-marked, heavy-duty mild steel of YST 210 grade—the kind of structure that lasts for 25+ years.
Fabric: The tensile fabric we specified was a high-grade, durable material (like Serge Ferrari or Mehler) with a 900 GSM rating and a PVDF coating. We explained that this coating doesn’t just block heat and UV rays, it also makes the material largely self-cleaning, drastically reducing maintenance needs.
Finish: The entire steel frame was finished with a protective coat of epoxy paint for superior durability against the elements.
Solving the Hidden Hurdles
No job is without a hitch, but that's where expertise comes in. While the installation of a car parking tensile shed generally goes smoothly thanks to our PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) process, we ran into some unexpected hurdles on site—perhaps a tricky column placement or underground utilities. We don't believe in stalling. We cleverly navigated those site specific issues by adapting the anchor points slightly without compromising the structural load distribution.
We focused on the details that matter: clean welding, precise fabric patterning to ensure zero wrinkles (which extends fabric life), and professional painting with a compressor. It's what ensures the longevity of the canopy and the satisfaction of the client.
The final result, a robust yet elegant solution, pleased both Mr. Chandekar and Mr. Ahmad. We were appreciated for the many reasons, especially for the high quality and the assurance of durability—it’s what allows us to confidently back every structure we build, whether it's a parking shed or a complex swimming pool shade.
