This projects is really a happy experience for client and for us, and the work we did for Aaswad Restaurant near Suyog Nagar Square in Nagpur is definitely appreciable. We're FV INFRA LLP, and honestly, we get a real kick out of transforming a simple space into something special.
The owner's main thought was just to cover their outdoor dining area, plain and simple. But we saw a chance to give their customers something more—a stylish, premium space where they could genuinely relax and enjoy their meal with family and friends. It's the little details that elevate a good meal to a great experience, and the right overhead cover makes all the difference.
The Challenge: Aesthetics Meets Engineering
Our client was really leaning toward that distinctive Tibetan-style conical design. They had a lot of understandable questions and a bit of confusion about how something so large and complex—it was a hefty foot structure, bigger than a lot of other canopies we see—would actually come together. Costing and material quality were also huge factors, as you’d expect for such a premium location.
This is where the discussion with the client and our on-site engineer, Harshal Khapekar, really paid off. Harshal was great at guiding us through the client’s practical needs and the on-site protocols. We all quickly landed on a sustainable tensile membrane canopy. It was the perfect solution: it solved the problems of harsh sun rays, heat, and unpredictable rain, all while maintaining the beautiful aesthetic the client wanted. That's what a good restaurant tensile shade should do, right?
The client hit us with the typical questions: How many days? How long will it last? What about the price?
We laid it all out. We promised a quick turnaround, with 8 to 11 engineers working on site, aiming to be done in under two and a half weeks. We explained that the robust, Tata-make, ISI-marked heavy-duty mild steel (grade YST 210) structure is built to last 30 years, and the high-quality tensile fabric roofing would be good for 10 to 20 years—sometimes more! Our pricing was competitive and fair, which the client really appreciated.
Details That Matter—The FV INFRA Way
We insisted on using only top-tier materials. The roofing would be a 900 or 800 GSM fabric—like Serge Ferrari, Sioen, Mehler, Sattler, or SRF—in white, with a PVDF coating. The translucency of this fabric is the real magic. It lets natural light pass through, brightening the space during the day without the need for artificial lighting, and it blocks the heat and UV rays. It's what allows us to sleep at night, knowing we’ve installed a safe and effective hotel tensile fabric shade. Even the paint was a high-quality Duco white color. And for maintenance? Just a simple pressure wash when needed.
Now, it wasn't a walk in the park. We were battling frequent heavy winds, sudden rain showers, and the continuous flow of customers trying to walk around the site. Plus, getting that feet size right required us to use higher gauge steel pipes and heavy GSM fabric to ensure it was stable and wrinkle-free.
But the client and their architect both saw our specialty in action. They loved how we obsessed over the minute details: the precise welding of the steel structure, the careful patterning of the fabric to ensure it was wrinkle-free, the professional steel painting with a compressor, and the careful installation. It all comes down to experience and care.
The final product was a stunning success. Aaswad's outdoor area is now a gorgeous, shaded extension of their restaurant, proving that a quality tensile canopy supplier can deliver both function and form. It's a space that’s not just covered but truly elevated. If you need a stylish solution like a tensile fabric car parking shed or a beautiful cover for your space, we can certainly help.
That kind of success naturally opens doors. The client, who has contacts across the country, asked us where else we could serve them. We let them know that we provide sales and service throughout East Maharashtra and other parts of India, including: Nagpur, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Wani, Pusad, Umarkhed, Mehkar, Khamgaon, Bhilai-Durg, and many of the surrounding areas like Balapur, Murtizapur, Karanja Lad, Risod, Chikhli, and Malegaon Jahangir.
